Deep Sleep Sheep

While we sheep deep-sleep
in the digital green pastures,

herders keep us well-stocked
with interests proven to keep

us fast asleep.

Raising sheep with an illusion
of me mine I endless supply,

chasing the greyhound rabbit,
cart-donkeys after the carrot,

has its rewards.

We will follow the loudest bell
over a cliff, into a darkest hell,

because we’re sheep,
and that’s what we do,

to please you

herders loving sleeping sheep,
fattened on a fodder of desire.

“I keep sheep tuned to my bell
so their market value always

serves me well.”
