We were at the lake and Kaia dipped in a few times. I was on a bench
at the water’s edge, the sun dropping across the lake, at my back.
A kid and the young couple returned Kaia’s friendly greetings
with their own joyous responses. I smiled, we chatted,
she and I finished dinner, and now I’m slouched
in my computer chair.

May my regards and blessings help lift the bereaved.
May we know pain and joy naturally occur.

Mother and the newborn feel pain, followed by joy.
One leads to the other. They are inseparable.

May love be shared flesh with flesh, mind with mind and heart with open heart.
May blessings pour through the soil, sky, sun and moon, and Now is all I AM.
May I accept God ‘my’ way, with blessings received from all others.
